RECENT UPDATES/NEWS:

Attendance:

As we head into competition season attendance is extremely important. We need dancers to be there to rehearse. However, if you are unwell we need you to stay home. Sickness has been relentless this year. If you are under the weather, stay home and get some rest.

Competition Schedules:

On the "General Team Info" page to you will find the final schedule for both competition #1 and competition #2.

The Alliston schedule just sent us a very minor adjusted schedule. No major changes, just by a few minutes here and there.

Be sure to adjust your hotel reservation in Kitchener accordingly.

Call Time Sheet:

Attached to this email is the Call Time Sheet for competition #1. This is what each time means for your dancer.

Call Time = when your dancer needs to be at the venue in the dressing room.

Rehearsal Time= This is when your dancer needs to be fully ready for whatever dance they are competing first.  Hair is done, lipstick on, shoes on feet and are ready to go to the rehearsal hall to practice. No going back to the dressing room to get things. At this point parents can go to sit and watch. Parents do not come to the rehearsal hall with us.

On Stage Time= Is when your dancers routine is scheduled to be on stage. Competitions do run ahead or sometimes behind, it is important to pay attention to the entry numbers not just the scheduled time.

Adjudication= this is when your dancer needs to be on stage to receive their marks and awards.

The Need to know About Competition:

We have attached our guide that helps outline all of the ins and out of competition preparation and organization. It is on the "General Team Info" page. This is helpful for new dancers and comp families, be sure to read it with your dancer. And we recommend even our veteran dancers and parents to take a peak to refresh your brains on all things competition.

Costumes:

Please be sure to check all of your costume pieces made it home safely. Costumes and tights can be washed. Both costume and tights should be either handwashed/gentle cycle, with cold water and hung to dry.

If any costumes need to be altered we need them to be brought to us immediately so they can be taken to the seamstress.

Some final costume pieces and accessories are still arriving. We will be handing those out over the next week.

A reminder to give your white hiphop shoes a bit of a scrub.
